Andrea Chapman’s favourite pictures can be on show, and on the market, all through August on the Hope Arts Gallery as she presents ‘Time and Mild.’
Chapman loves photographing nature and landscapes, and when she’s not doing that she finds herself mesmerized by dilapidated buildings, outdated farm equipment, discarded classic automobiles and something that screams ‘character.’
Her ardour for pictures stems from her curiosity in watercolor portray, and the necessity to discover high quality reference images. An authorized graphic designer from the College of the Fraser Valley, conversant in constructive and destructive house, Chapman discovered herself fascinated with, and challenged by her new medium.
As Andrea’s journey into the world of pictures has progressed, she has been drawn to the early morning and late afternoon mild and the completely different temper every evokes, portray landscapes with surprising shapes, shadows, colours and atmosphere. From birds and dragonflies in flight to landscapes, Chapman’s love of nature and fascination with mild shines by way of her pictures.
She has mixed her love of nature and pictures with bicycling and writing, touring rail trails and parks writing inventive captions to accompany her pictures. Chapman enjoys sharing her sojourns, hoping to elicit comparable feelings and pleasure of her topics from her viewer.
As her ‘journey of sunshine’ continues to encourage and problem her, she hopes others discover pleasure in her shared explorations.
Time and Mild runs Aug. 3 to twenty-eight on the Hope Arts Gallery, situated at 349 Fort Road. The gallery is open from 10 am to 4 pm Tuesday by way of Sunday.
