It is mod go-go, a loft-like one-bedroom duplex designed by its occupant — French transplant, artist and designer Virginie Sommet — out there as a furnished quick time period rental for six to eight months. Its largest attraction is surely the inviting pond, large enough for swimming, with two waterfalls, within the lush landscaped yard.
The backyard is matched by a largely white inside with mod oval shelving — one among Sommet’s calling playing cards — black piano and nary a tough edge. A large rear deck with plexiglass window underfoot bridges the open parlor flooring and the backyard.
