Coney Island NYCHA Residents File Lawsuit Over Ongoing Stove Gas Outages
Dozens of residents of two Coney Island apartment complexes operated by the New York City Housing Authority have filed a lawsuit against the agency for failing to return gas service to their buildings, with some tenants living without the ability to cook for a full year.
“It is time that NYCHA be held accountable. We have the right to all the amenities afforded to us in our lease, by any means necessary,” said Sheila Smalls, president of the O’Dwyer Gardens tenant association.

The median sales price for a single-family home sold in Chemung County during June was $124,500. That’s a decrease of 0.4% compared with June 2021, according to a USA TODAY Network localized analysis generated with data from Realtor.com.
On a year-over-year basis, single-family home prices just began falling. June prices are down from $130,000 the previous month.
The number of houses sold fell by 5.8% from a year earlier. A total of 81 houses were sold countywide during June. During the same period a year earlier, 86 single-family homes were sold.

August home sales have been release for the Dayton area, according to a release by Dayton Realtors.
US home sales slipped, prices grew more slowly in August
Sales of single-family and condominium units in August were found to be in mostly positive territory.
The number of homes sold in the Miami Valley remained steady compared to last year, the average sales price continued its upward trajectory and hit over $246,000, an increase of 9% from last August, the release said.
The median price saw an increase to at least $209,000, up over 10% from last year.
