Technology founders in Tanzania have been invited to apply for the Africa Blockchain Festival Fellowship Program 2026, a scheme that runs alongside the Africa Blockchain Festival scheduled for Oct. 15-17 at the Sarit Expo Centre in Nairobi, Kenya. The initiative is designed to spotlight emerging talent from the region and to channel innovative ideas into a larger continental conversation.
Although the festival’s name highlights blockchain, the fellowship accepts startups working in artificial intelligence, fintech, cybersecurity, cloud infrastructure, digital payments, digital identity, healthtech, climate tech, mobility, SaaS and related fields. By opening the doors to a wide array of technology sectors, the program encourages cross-disciplinary collaboration and showcases the breadth of African ingenuity.
The call targets entrepreneurs from Tanzania alongside peers in Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi and other African markets, aiming to broaden regional collaboration. Organisers hope that participants will form networks that extend beyond national borders, creating a shared ecosystem of knowledge and opportunity.

Investment firms such as Antler and Launch Africa Ventures participate in the fellowship ecosystem, offering participants exposure to organizations that regularly assess early-stage companies and explain how venture investors evaluate products, markets and teams. They also provide mentorship sessions that demystify funding criteria and help refine business models.
Providing this gateway aligns with Tanzania’s recent push to strengthen its startup scene, including events like Innovation Week Tanzania and new regulatory frameworks that create controlled environments for testing financial products.
