After a successful career as a real estate business coach, Sherrie Storor is returning to agency ownership with the launch of Ray White Icon. This new venture includes offices in Bridgeman Downs and Chermside, marking her return to Brisbane from the Gold Coast.
Prior to coaching, Storor founded and sold her own agency, Address Estate Agents, expanding it to a team of 45 agents supported by an executive leadership group of five. She later took on senior roles, including Director of Residential at Colliers.
Storor’s industry expertise is extensive. In 2008, she transitioned to coaching, offering events, podcasts, individual coaching, online courses, and digital resources for principals and teams across Australasia. Notably, she claims to have increased one client’s business from $3 million to $18 million in GCI.
Storor explained that this move allows her to apply her coaching experience under her own brand. “I’ve spent the last eight years helping agents and agency owners build better businesses – better systems, better teams, better lives,” she stated. She is now implementing this expertise in her own enterprise.
The selection of the network was key for Storor. She emphasized that her decision was based on infrastructure. “I chose Ray White because of the technology, the scale, and the referral network, the things that, frankly, no other group in this country is investing in at the same level,” she said.
Jason Andrew, CEO of Ray White Queensland, highlighted Storor’s unique perspective gained from her coaching career. “She’s coached some of our best people to get better, now she gets to do it under her own banner, and with the full weight of the Ray White network behind her,” Jason said. This is expected to benefit her business significantly.
Thomas McGlynn, Ray White CEO of Performance and Value, noted his long-standing relationship with Storor. “Sherrie and I go a long way back. She’s been a trusted friend and sounding board ever since,” Thomas said, showing their enduring professional connection.
Ray White Icon will operate from a 50sqm office in Bridgeman Downs and a 250sqm office in Chermside. Initially, the focus will be on recruiting agents who align with Storor’s values of systemization, integrity, and sustainable career growth. The agency aims to establish a strong presence in the region.
The business builds on the foundation laid by Wayne and Sonya Treloar, who will assist during the transition while continuing to grow their personal sales. With Storor’s expertise and Ray White’s support, Ray White Icon is poised to attract ambitious agents across Brisbane. The agency’s future appears promising.
