Commercial Property Awards 2026 Winners Celebrate Success

Property Week’s Commercial Property Awards 2026 highlighted industry resilience during a period of significant economic uncertainty. Held on 8 July at London’s Grosvenor House hotel, the 30th anniversary gala featured an Alice Through the Looking Glass‑themed stage and was held during the UK’s second heatwave of the summer.

Industry Leaders Reflect on Uncertainty

Property Week editor Lem Bingley opened the event, expressing admiration for industry professionals who continued to conceive, fund, design, build and let property despite ongoing economic and political limbo. Bingley said, “Given all this uncertainty, I am in awe of the many fine people in this room who have managed to conceive, fund, design, build and let or sell commercial property. I honestly don’t know how you did it.”

The evening also raised £20,642 for Sepsis Research FEAT, the event’s charity partner. Britain’s Got Talent star Jess Robinson entertained guests with vocal impressions, performing hits like Christina Aguilera’s “Beautiful” as various artists.

Winners Recognize Operational Excellence

SEGRO won PropCo of the Year (over 100 employees) for delivering its strongest year ever in 2025.

It reported £99m of new rent commitments and 6.1% growth in adjusted earnings and dividends per share. Notable deals included DP World letting 600,000 sq ft at SEGRO Park Coventry and HIVED taking 24,720 sq ft at SEGRO Park Hayes.

Judges noted SEGRO’s record leasing levels and strong investor returns demonstrated an “exceptional operational and financial performance.” The firm also expanded its data centres strategy and achieved measurable ESG impact.

Tritax Big Box REIT (TBBR) took home PropCo of the Year (under 100 employees). The company acquired a £1.04bn portfolio from Blackstone and made its data centre debut by purchasing a 74‑acre site in Heathrow.

TBBR also announced a transatlantic initiative to develop clean energy and digital innovation assets with Holtec International and EDF UK ahead of President Donald Trump’s visit to the UK in September. The judges cited a combination of major acquisitions, successful expansion into the data centre market, and strong asset management results as the deciding factors.
